You can help make progress for ovarian cancer possible
Please join me and help make a difference
September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness month AND its marks the one-year anniversary of my diagnosis (9/13/23). Please join me and support the Michigan Ovarian Cancer Alliance, and in turn help spread awareness. Fund go towards supporting survivors, research, education and other services offered by MIOCA.
Ovarian Cancer Symptoms: Bloating. Difficulty eating. Pelvic / abdominal pain. Urinary frequency.
About Ovarian Cancer:
Ovarian Cancer is the most lethal gynecologic cancer. This year in the US,
~20,000 individuals will be diagnosed with the disease. Because there is no
early detection test or routine screening, only 15% of ovarian cancer is
diagnosed in the earliest stages when chances of a good outcome are
high. There are symptoms associated with ovarian cancer but they are
not commonly known. Ovarian cancer affects females of all ages. The need for
awareness, education, and effective screening and treatment are critically
needed.
About the Michigan Ovarian Cancer Alliance (MIOCA):
The Michigan Ovarian Cancer Alliance was formed in 2011 to fill a tremendous
void in the state. MIOCA is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Survivors,
family members, and other supporters come together to move its mission. MIOCA
provides resources and support to ovarian cancer survivors, advocates at the
federal and state level, educates the public, raises awareness of the disease,
and funds innovative ovarian cancer research in Michigan. Donations to MIOCA
are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. Learn more about MIOCA at
